At Grace Church, children are not only welcomed but valued as integral members of our community. We envision and actively work toward a community where children are incorporated at every level of our worship and life together. We believe in the innate spirituality of children and seek to learn from and alongside them.
Sunday programming for children is offered during the 9:30 am service in the Family Hall. Ages four and under are welcome in our beautiful, interactive nursery with adjoining playground under the supervision of trained staff. Children ages 3 or 4 – 12 begin with their families in the sanctuary for a children’s moment with our priest, are released to classrooms for rich and creative programming, and then return to the sanctuary for communion with their families.

There are a myriad of opportunities to get to know our children and youth better, and we consider each of them a privilege and a joy. Our core team of volunteers meets regularly to support each other as we work together to make Grace a welcoming home and place of nourishment and growth for our children and youth. Whether you have just a little bit or a lot of time to give, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, or talk to one of our teachers or helpers on a Sunday.
Regular teachers and volunteers must undergo background checks and Safeguarding training from the Diocese of Olympia.
