At Grace Church, children are not only welcomed but valued as integral members of our community. We envision and actively work toward a community where children are incorporated at every level of our worship and life together. We believe in the innate spirituality of children and seek to learn from and alongside them.
Sunday programming for children is offered during the 9:30 am service in the Family Hall. Ages four and under are welcome in our beautiful, interactive nursery with adjoining playground under the supervision of trained staff. Children ages 3 or 4 – 12 begin with their families in the sanctuary for a children’s moment with our priest, are released to classrooms for rich and creative programming, and then return to the sanctuary for communion with their families.

Safety Is Our Priority
Church should feel like home! We seek to create a safe, nurturing place for your children and do everything we can to help them to feel welcomed, and valued. Staff and regular volunteers who serve our children have all completed Safeguarding training through the Diocese of Olympia.
Lent is a special season in the church calendar. In the midst of our busy schedules, we’re invited to set time aside to take a deep breath and draw closer to God and God’s world.
Lent is a time for everyone, including, and especially for our children and teens.
Please consider joining us for events listed on this page.

Get Involved!
There are a myriad of opportunities to get to know our children and youth better, and we consider each of them a privilege and a joy. Our core team of volunteers meets regularly to support each other as we work together to make Grace a welcoming home and place of nourishment and growth for our children and youth. Whether you have just a little bit or a lot of time to give, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Kim at kim@gracehere.org for more information, or talk to one of our teachers or helpers on a Sunday.
Regular teachers and volunteers must undergo background checks and Safeguarding training from the Diocese of Olympia.
