Join us for Open Mic on the first Friday of every month
Every caregiver needs continuous nurturing and connection. Open Mic serves to gather those interested in caregiving and to provide information. If you’re a caregiver, have been a caregiver, wonder if you will become a caregiver, will need a caregiver, or are simply interested in caregiving, please join Open Mic on the first Friday of every month from 4 – 5pm on Zoom. A guest speaker, often a current or former caregiver, opens the meeting by speaking about a topic related to caregiving or their own personal caregiving experience. The meeting is open to comments, questions, and sharing from the group.
Our next meeting will take place on Friday, March 1 at 4pm on Zoom
“Speaking of Dying” – A Film about End-of-Life Choices
This month’s speaker will be Seattle native, Jennifer Kropack, who is a facilitator for the Speaking of Dying Collective, a Certified Heartwork facilitator for End-of-Life Planning, and for twenty years was an educator and trainer for the Washington State Department of Health.
After we view the trailer for the documentary, “Speaking of Dying,” Jenn will facilitate discussion around the question, “How do you prepare for a peaceful and meaningful death?” She will be able to address any questions you may have about end-of-life planning, such as preparing healthcare documents and death with dignity, as well as the use of poetry, music, and stories at end of life.
All are welcome—you do not need to be a caregiver to attend!
